Magtheridon, the former lord of this shattered world, has been imprisoned and his blood is being siphoned to create an army of fel orcs. Magtheridon's rage is directed at his jailor - Illidan the Betrayer - and his furious shouts are issuing from somewhere in Hellfire Citadel. n World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, you can explore a whole new world filled with countless quests, items, monsters, and an abundance of new factions to align yourself with. But there are also some new faces in Azeroth, as both the Tower of Karazhan in Deadwind Pass and the Caverns of Time of the Tanaris desert have been opened, and both instances are linked to their own new factions. There is plenty for you to do, but your efforts will be rewarded with some truly outstanding items if you manage to gain favor with these new factions.

To help you find your way around, we have put together a handy guide to the new factions of The Burning Crusade, including their histories, rewards, and also some tips that might be useful when you're on your quest to improve your reputation. The first factions released as part of our new Factions Guide are the factions of Hellfire Peninsula - the noble men and women of Honor Hold and the brave defenders of Thrallmar.

ith the past month's release of the Burning Crusade, it's amazing that the team of Blizzard web goblins was able to tear themselves away from Outland long enough to create the following items of note:

• The World of Warcraft Armory - Welcome to an entirely new level of functionality and information from the World of Warcraft official website! Taken directly from the actual game data, the Armory is a comprehensive searchable database for every character, guild, and arena team in the game. Start by viewing your character profile and go from there!
• Arena Tournament Announced - Along with the in-game rewards for having a great arena team, now there's a real life tournament as well - the first World of Warcraft Arena Tournament is now live and open for qualifiers! Win prizes and glory at live events, and prove that you're the best World of Warcraft arena team in the world.
• The Burning Crusade: The Launch - January 16th marked the beginning of the Burning Crusade. At release events throughout the United States and Europe, players waited in line to get their copy at the stroke of midnight. Some fans got to have their copies signed by World of Warcraft's development team. Read about the events, and watch parts one and two of our video coverage.
• Direct Online Upgrade - If you haven't gotten a copy of the expansion yet, a new option is open to you. The Burning Crusade is now available as a direct download from our website. It's the most convenient way to upgrade to The Burning Crusade and join the millions of players who are already adventuring beyond the Dark Portal.
• The Burning Crusade Flash Site - An interactive Flash minisite about the Burning Crusade, featuring information about the new features of the expansion, minigames, and even a few hidden rewards.

n time for the release of The Burning Crusade, J!NX has released their third wave of World of Warcraft related t-shirts, hoodies, hats, and patches. Now you have even more options with which to deck yourself out in epic loot! A frost-resist hoodie, blood elf and draenei t-shirts, mage and warrior class shirts, and Horde and Alliance insignia hats are among the new line. new line of World of Warcraft action figures is arriving from DC Unlimited, the new toy and collectible brand of DC Comics. These figures are sculpted in high detail, and are decked out with some of the latest armor and weapons from the game - including Tier 5 armor sets! The first wave of figures will include a blood elf rogue, orc shaman, undead warlock, and dwarf warrior.
