When a character changes races, their home city reputation level is swapped for the home city of their new race. For example, if a Night Elf character changed races to become a Draenei, the character's reputation levels with Darnassus and Exodar would switch values. All other reputations would remain as they were.

The following reputations will always translate to a default opposite-faction counterpart.

* Some reputations do not have an opposite-faction equivalent, and thus will not be included in a faction change. However, they will be restored at their previous levels if the character ever transfers back to their original faction.

When a character changes races (without changing factions), the character’s racial mounts (such as Kodos for Tauren) are switched for the racial mounts of their new race. Other mounts, including the discontinued epic mounts such as the Ivory Raptor or Ancient Frostsaber, are not affected.
