side from the more customary racial and class mounts associated with your character, there are many special mounts that can be obtained through non-conventional means. All of the special mounts listed below are "very fast" (increases your speed by 100%) unless noted otherwise.

	Crusader's Black Warhorse Requirements: Horde Only, Riding (150) Note: Achievement reward for "A Tribute to Immortality," which is reaching a Tribute Chest with 50 attempts remaining and without allowing any raid member to die during any of the boss encounters in 25-player mode.
	Crusader's White Warhorse Requirements: Alliance Only, Riding (150) Note: Achievement reward for "A Tribute to Immortality," which is reaching a Tribute Chest with 50 attempts remaining and without allowing any raid member to die during any of the boss encounters in 25-player mode.
	Argent Warhorse Cost: 100 Champion's Seals Requirements: Riding (150) Note: Can be purchased by participating in the Argent Tournament
	Quel'dorei Steed Cost: 100 Champion's Seals Requirements: Riding (150), The Silver Covenant - Exalted Note: Can be purchased by participating in the Argent Tournament
	Sea Turtle Requirements: Riding (75) Note: Can be fished up in schools of fish in Northrend. Players receive 10 achievement points for catching this turtle. The turtle travels at walking speed on land but is very fast in water with 60% increased swim speed. Combine with an item that gives unlimited underwater breathing and it's time to explore the seas.
	Big Blizzard Bear Requirements: Level 20, Riding (75) Note: A special mount given to attendees and DIRECTV viewers of BlizzCon 2008.
	Black War Bear Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) Note: Achievement reward for defeating all four enemy faction leaders.
	Armored Brown Bear Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) A mount you can buy in Dalaran for 600 gold with exalted reputation with Kirin Tor. You receive an achievement for buying this mount.
	White Polar Bear Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150)
	Big Battle Bear Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) Note: World of Warcraft Trading Card Game reward from the Drums of War expansion.
	Wooly Mammoth Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) Note: You can buy this in Dalaran from Mei Francis for 200 Emblems of Heroism. You receive an achievement for buying this mount.
	Traveler's Tundra Mammoth Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) Note: A mount you can buy in Dalaran for 16,000 gold with exalted reputation with Kirin Tor. This mount can carry two people or it carries two vendors, one of which can repair! You receive an achievement for buying this mount.
	Mekgineer's Chopper (A) Requirements: Level 80, Riding (150) Note: A mount created by engineers that can hold two people. The Mekgineer's Chopper is the Alliance version. You don't have to be an engineer to ride this mount.
	Mechano-Hog (H) Requirements: Level 80, Riding (150) Note: A mount created by engineers that can hold two people. The Mechano-Hog is the Horde version of the mount. You don't have to be an engineer to ride this mount.
	Swift White Hawkstrider Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) Found in: Magister's Terrace Note: Dropped by Kael'thas Sunstrider.
	Amani War Bear Requirements: Level 70, Riding (150) Found in: Zul'Aman Note: Formerly found in Zul'Aman. This item no longer drops.
	Fiery Warhorse Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) Found in: Karazhan Note: Attumen the Huntsman's steed
	Spectral Tiger Requirements: Level 20/40, Riding (75/150) Cost: 10g/100g Note: World of Warcraft Trading Card Game reward, increases speed by 60/100%. The appearance of this mount varies depending on your video settings.
	Swift Zhevra Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) Cost: N/A Note: Special reward from the Recruit-A-Friend Program. Increases speed by 100%.
	Riding Turtle Note: World of Warcraft Trading Card Game reward, increases speed by 0%. It's as slow as a turtle!
	Reins of the Raven Lord Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) Found in: Sethekk Halls Note: This rare mount drops from Anzu, who only appears during a druid's Swift Flight Form quest in Sethekk Halls.
	Deathcharger Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) Found in: Stratholme Note: Baron Rivendare's steed
	Winterspring Frostsaber Requirements: Level 40, Riding (75), Wintersaber Trainers - Exalted Available to: Alliance Cost: 90g
	Swift Razzashi Raptor Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) Found in: Zul'Gurub
	Swift Zulian Tiger Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) Found in: Zul'Gurub
	Black Qiraji Battle Tank Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) Note: Quest reward, Silithus. This was only available during the first 10 hours of the realm event Gates of Ahn'Qiraj. This is the rarest mount in the game.

These mounts can only be earned during particular world events. Some only last for the duration of the particular world event, while others are permanent.

	Great Brewfest Kodo Requirements: Level 40, Riding (150) Found in: Black Rock Depths Note: Dropped by Coren Direbrew in Black Rock Depths during the Brewfest Holiday. This is a permanent mount.
	Swift Brewfest Ram Requirements: Level 20/40, Riding (75/150) Found in: Black Rock Depths Note: Dropped by Coren Direbrew in Black Rock Depths during the Brewfest Holiday. In 2007, it was available by participating in the Brewfest special event in October and known as Brewfest Ram. It was easier to obtain during this time. This is a permanent mount.
	Magic Broom Requirements: Level 10, Riding (75) Note: These mounts are available during Hallow's End. The Magic Broom is a common drop from the Headless Horseman, a summonable boss found in Scarlet Monastery. It automatically becomes a flying mount when used in Outland and Northrend. The broom's speed is also automatically determined based on your riding skill. The Rickety Magic Broom is a reward from a daily quest for Hallow's End. It travels at normal run speed, and cannot fly. Both mounts have a 14 day duration.
	Headless Horseman's Steed Requirements: Level 40, Riding (75) Note: A rare mount that drops from the Headless Horseman during Hallow's End. This mount can be used as a flying mount in Outland and Northrend, and as a ground mount in Azeroth. This is a permanent mount.
	Reindeer Note: During Winter's Veil you can get Perserved Holly which can transfrom your mount into a Reindeer. Your mount will remain a Reindeer until you dismount. If your mount can fly, the Reindeer can also fly. Preserved Holly will last throughout the year.

albuks are a type of wild, stag-like creatures indigenous to Nagrand, and a favored food of the draenei. Talbuk mounts are available to both factions. They are purchased from vendors in Telaar, Nagrand (Alliance) and Garadar, Nagrand (Horde).

Qiraji Battle Tanks

Requirements: Level 40, Riding (75)
Found in: Temple of Ahn'Qiraj
Note: Can only be used within the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj

dventurers in the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj may come across and obtain resonating crystals of various colors. These crystals emit a high frequency sound, forcing a silithid tank to burrow out from its home beneath the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj. The silithid is obedient to the summoner and can be used as a mount within the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj only. Any hostile action towards the rider forces the tank underground.
