The World of Warcraft "Gurubashi Challenge" Contest

Official Rules
  1. Eligibility.

    NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT, INC., AND BIGFOOT NETWORKS, INC. (COLLECTIVELY REFERRED TO HEREIN AS THE "SPONSOR") IS THE SPONSOR OF THIS WORLD OF WARCRAFT "GURUBASHI CHALLENGE " SCREENSHOT CONTEST ("CONTEST"). THIS CONTEST IS OPEN ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AUSTRALIA, CANADA (EXCLUDING THE PROVINCE OF QUEBEC), NEW ZEALAND AND SINGAPORE WHO ARE THIRTEEN (13) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AS OF SEPTEMBER 14, 2006 ("ENTRANTS"). IF YOU ARE NOT A RESIDENT OF THESE AREAS AND/OR YOU ARE NOT THIRTEEN (13) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER ON SEPTEMBER 14, 2006, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO WIN A PRIZE. If you are under the legal age of majority in your state/jurisdiction of residence (a "Minor"), one of your parents or legal guardians must submit a signed, written statement that they have read, understood and agree to these Contest rules with your entry, and that such agreement constitutes acceptance of these Contest rules on behalf of you and themselves. To be eligible to win a prize, entries must be completed and received by Sponsor in the format designated below. Directors, officers and employees of Sponsor, its parent, and any of their respective affiliate companies, subsidiaries, agents, professional advisors, advertising and promotional agencies, and immediate families of each are not eligible to win any prizes. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Offer void where prohibited. Limit one entry per household. In the event of any dispute, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the e-mail address from which the e-mail was sent.
  2. Disclaimer.

    Sponsor, all participating sponsors, and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, professional advisors, employees and agencies will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures; (c) any Contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor; or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest.
  3. Contest Period.

    The Contest shall commence on September 28, 2006 at 12:01 AM Pacific Time ("PT"), and end on October 11, 2006 at 11:59 PM PT ("Contest Period").
  4. Prizes.

    • GRAND PRIZE: One qualified entrant shall be chosen to receive the following Grand Prize package consisting of: Two (2) "KILLER GOLD" Gold Coins with an aggregate approximate retail value of $1,000.00; a "KILLER" T-Shirt with an approximate retail value of $15.99, and a "KILLER" Network card, with an approximate retail value of $279.00.
    • KILLER GOLD prize - Two qualified entrants shall be chosen to receive the following "KILLER GOLD" prize package consisting of: One (1) "KILLER GOLD" Gold Coins with an aggregate approximate retail value of $500.00; one (1) "KILLER" T-Shirt with an approximate retail value of $15.99, and one (1) "KILLER" Network card, with an approximate retail value of $279.00.
    • KILLER SILVER prize – Two qualified entrant shall be chosen to receive the "KILLER SILVER" prize package consisting of the following: twenty nine (29) "KILLER SILVER" Silver Coins with an aggregate approximate retail value of $400.00; one (1) "KILLER" T-Shirt with an approximate retail value of $15.99, and one (1) "KILLER" Network card, with an approximate retail value of $279.00.5th prize.
    • KILLER COPPER Prize - Two qualified entrants shall be chosen to receive the "KILLER COPPER" prize package consisting of the following: fifty six (56) "KILLER COPPER" Copper Coins with an aggregate approximate retail value of $250.00; one (1) "KILLER" T-Shirt with an approximate retail value of $15.99, and one (1) "KILLER" Network card, with an approximate retail value of $279.00.
    • KILLER NIC Prize - Three qualified entrants shall be chosen to receive the "KILLER NIC" prize package consisting of the following: one (1) "KILLER" T-Shirt with an approximate retail value of $15.99, and one (1) "KILLER" Network card, with an approximate retail value of $279.00.
    • KILLER T-SHIRT Prize– Fifteen (15) qualified entrants shall be chosen to receive one (1) "KILLER" T-Shirt with an approximate retail value of $15.99.

    ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER. All prizes will be awarded. Prize winners will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility before they can receive their Prize. Thereafter, a Prize winner will be shipped the Prize within 30 days of the end of the Contest Period. Prizes returned as undeliverable or otherwise not claimed within fifteen (15) days after delivery of notification will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions or exchanges (including for cash) of any prizes will be permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any prize. Limit one prize per household or address. All prizes are awarded "AS IS" and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose)
  5. How to Enter.

    Submit your picture using the "World of Warcraft Gurubashi Challenge" Screenshot Competition submission page located http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/contests/bigfoot/rules.xml. You must fill out the following fields in order to be eligible: First Name, Address 1, Address 2 (if applicable), City, State, Zip/Postal Code, Character Name, and Email. In the event that you cannot enter the Promotion electronically, send a 'hard copy' of the screenshot and include your name, age and city of residence to the following address: "World of Warcraft Gurubashi Challenge" Screenshot Competition c/o Blizzard Entertainment P.O.   6. Determination of Winners.

    Gurubashi Challenge Qualified entrants for this Contest may submit screenshots that depict gameplay from World of Warcraft which occurs at the "Gurubashi Arena" in Stranglethorn Vale. Sponsor, based on its sole discretion, shall judge the screenshots based on composition and originality, with an emphasis being placed on depictions of large battles where the entrant’s World of Warcraft player character is victorious over large numbers of antagonists. All decisions of Sponsor are final. Sponsor shall choose the winners by October 22, 2006 from all qualified entrants. Prize winners will be notified by e-mail within fourteen (14) days thereafter. To claim a prize, winners should follow the instructions contained in their notification. Entrants can only win once during the Contest Period.
  7. Sponsor Use of Entries.

    You hereby agree that in consideration of your being allowed the chance to enter the Contest, you hereby grant Sponsor a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide license and right to utilize the entry materials that you submit to Sponsor in connection with the Contest (collectively, "Entry Materials"). The Entry Materials will not be returned to any entrant. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you acknowledge that Sponsor shall have the right to use, modify, reproduce, publish, perform, display on all forms of media, distribute, make derivative works of and otherwise commercially and noncommercially exploit the Entry Materials in perpetuity and throughout the universe, in any manner or medium now existing or hereafter developed, without separate compensation to you or any other person or entity. You agree to take, at Sponsor's expense, any further action (including, without limitation, execution of affidavits and other documents) reasonably requested by Sponsor to effect, perfect or confirm Sponsor's rights as set forth above in this paragraph 7.
  8. Collection of Information.

    The information collected to enter the Contest will be used to contact you in the event that you are chosen to receive a prize. Additionally, Sponsor will use this information for marketing purposes, and to contact you regarding offers, promotions and other Contest related to this and/or other products distributed by Sponsor. In the event that you are under the age of eighteen (18) years and submit an entry to Sponsor, Sponsor will delete, erase or destroy any and all personally identifiable information that is obtained from the entry.
  9. General Release.

    By entering the Contest, you release Sponsor, participating sponsors and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agencies (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory.
  10. Affidavit & Release.

    As a condition of being awarded any prize, winners will be required to execute, have notarized, and deliver to Sponsor an Affidavit of Eligibility, which includes an acceptance of these Official Rules and a release of liability. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of the winner and an alternate winner will be selected to receive the Prize. Additionally, the winner agrees that entry and/or acceptance of Prize/s constitutes permission for the Sponsor and their agencies to use the winner's name, address (city and state) and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known or hereafter devised, including without limitation Internet, unless prohibited by law.
  11. Winners List/Rules Request.

    For a copy of the winners list, send a stamped, self-addressed, business-size envelope after October 15, 2006 and before December 10, 2006 to Sponsor at the following address:

    Residents of WA, VT, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore may omit return postage.

  13. Miscellaneous.

    The Contest and these Official Rules will be governed, construed and interpreted under the laws of the United States. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to change these Official Rules at any time, in its sole discretion, and to suspend or cancel the Contest or any entrant's participation in the Contest should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor's control affect the administration, security or proper play of the Contest or Sponsor otherwise becomes (as determined in its sole discretion) incapable of running the Contest as planned. Entrants who violate these Official Rules, attempt to defraud or tamper with the operation of the Contest or engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Sponsor, the Contest or any other entrant (in each case as determined in Sponsor's sole discretion) are subject to disqualification from entry into the Contest and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Sponsor reserves the right to lock out persons whose eligibility is in question or who have been disqualified or are otherwise ineligible to enter the Contest.
